Meet the Owner: The Story of Brent Scott

Hi, I’m Brent Scott — founder of Civil & Home Solutions, husband, father, and proud North Carolinian. My story is part of a long line of generational builders in Western North Carolina. For years I tried to carve my own path — not because I didn’t respect my family’s trade, but because I wanted to earn everything on my own terms first.

I put myself through college, earning a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and earning multiple professional certifications, including a focus in cybersecurity. Those years in the tech world taught me discipline, precision, and how to solve problems under pressure — lessons that now shape the way I lead my business and my crew.

But even after years behind a computer screen, something was missing. I wanted to build things that lasted. I wanted to feel that same pride my father and grandfather did when they looked at a finished home and said, “We built that.” So, I picked up my tools and went back to the roots I’d been raised around — hard work, craftsmanship, and service.

What started with a few small painting and repair projects quickly became something bigger. Civil & Home Solutions grew into a full-service company dedicated to honest work and real relationships. The best part? I now get to employ others — giving skilled, hardworking people the chance to provide for their families and build something they can be proud of.

Every home we touch — in Asheville, Hendersonville, Arden, Fletcher, Mills River, and Fairview — reflects not only craftsmanship but community. We take pride in treating each customer like family and every project like it’s our own home.
